Yulemi Martinez is an attorney with the Law Offices of Sean M. Wilson, L.L.C., working out of our Charleston office. Her practice focuses on auto accidents, workers’ compensation, premises liability, and a range of business and civil litigation matters. As a native Spanish speaker, she is also able to assist clients who are primarily Spanish‑speaking, helping ensure they receive clear communication and meaningful representation.
Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Yulemi graduated from John Randolph Tucker High School while simultaneously earning an Associate Degree in Social Science from Reynolds Community College. She then attended the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, where she competed on the Women’s Track and Field team. She graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, earning departmental honors for achieving the highest GPA in her major. After completing her undergraduate studies, she relocated to South Carolina to pursue her legal education.
During her time at the Charleston School of Law, Yulemi served as President of the Latino Law Student Association, an organization dedicated to supporting the academic success of Latino/a law students and strengthening their connections with Latino/a legal professionals in the Charleston area. She was also an active member of the Student Affairs Committee and the SBA Diversity and Inclusion Committee, contributing to initiatives that promoted student engagement and equity on campus.
Yulemi began her legal career with our firm in July 2022 as a law clerk. Throughout law school, she continued to clerk with us, assisting attorneys across a variety of legal matters and gaining hands‑on experience in litigation and client advocacy. After earning her Juris Doctor in May 2024, she joined the firm as a practicing attorney.
Driven by a passion for serving others, Yulemi is committed to using her legal training and bilingual abilities to advocate for meaningful change within the community. Outside of her work, she enjoys staying active, exploring new places, taking her dog on walks, and spending time with family and friends.
